My Mission: As a school chaplain for most of my career, I have come to understand that the role of a chaplain is to provide spiritual connection for all, whatever their beliefs, whatever their doubts, whatever their religious affiliation, whatever their issues with organized religion or with God. In these years after covid I believe that a “community chaplain” is more important than ever. Many people have lost a connection to their local church; to one another; to God. People are longing to regain that connection. People are living in a desert. I offer opportunities for people to find an oasis in the desert.
Over the past 35 years serving as a pastor, chaplain and counselor has brought opportunities to be in contact with many people seeking spiritual care and support.
My main ways to provide that care are the following:
- Counseling and conversation: Coffee or lunch just about any day of the week is a great way to connect.
- Office meetings for couples or individuals who would like to talk more privately.

Our trip with Steve to Israel exceeded expectations in every category. Steve and Boaz covered all the bases, providing both the Christian and Jewish historical perspective in a thoughtful and collaborative way. Each day was an adventure, as our activities were carefully planned to allow for teaching, exploring and down time. We enjoyed it all, from the Negev to Jerusalem, but were especially impacted by our time in Galilee. To walk where Jesus walked and spend time where He devoted most of his earthly ministry was life changing. We are so grateful for our time in Israel and would highly recommend Steve as guide and organizer.
Traveling with Rev. Steve Allen makes for a memorable, fulfilling, and enjoyable experience. Not only do you experience his vast knowledge and wisdom of how faith affected the area you visit, but he also creates an atmosphere of inclusion where you’ll bond and make friends for life. He does this by adding just the right amount of education with activities to enjoy together in the area. If you study his itinerary, you’ll see that mix. If his wife, Sue, comes along, that is an added treat! Being rebaptized in the Jordan River was an incredible opportunity and a highlight of the trip and Reverend Allan made it oh so special. Everyone in our group felt included and honored, whether you were without your significant other, a couple or a single. Give yourself a gift and take this faith experience of a lifetime with Steve. It’s truly a blessing.
We loved our trip to Israel with Steve’s Group because of the biblical nature of the itinerary. The trip was well planned and thoughtfully led, including lessons connecting the Bible to the sites we visited. The Morning Devotional Time with the Word of the Day and a summary of the day’s sites and their significance was a great way to start each day. As the group stayed together for the entire itinerary, Steve did an excellent job of creating a real sense of connection and community throughout the trip. Steve’s Israeli contacts (bus drivers, guides, etc) were all fantastic. Our food and accommodations were authentic. It wasn’t just a trip; it was a wonderful spiritual journey! We highly recommend him as a leader for an Israel trip or other Middle Eastern adventure!
I have wanted to go to Israel for many years. Several years ago, when I first heard that Steve was leading adult groups as well as student groups, I knew that I wanted to experience the Holy Land with Steve. I was able to go this past spring.I was traveling alone and I have never felt so safe. Along with Steve and his wife Sue, our local guide, Boaz, made sure that everything went smoothly. There were so many places to see! Steve did a great job of sharing his incredible knowledge of the area and making it come alive for us. His sermons availed themselves to meaningful conversations with my fellow travelers. I loved getting to know others on a spiritual level in that spiritual setting. Best experience ever!
We recently had the opportunity to travel with Steve and Sue to Israel. The size of our group was such that we each knew a few of the others but the remainder were new friends yet to be made. Within days we were one big traveling family sharing experiences of a lifetime. The itinerary and logistics were seamless while the magic of the trip was the delivery. The combination of the knowledge of a local Hebrew guide folded into the daily lessons from Steve made this journey one that can spark a new or distant fire in a soul. Whether your pilgrimage starts with history, geography, or faith your love and understanding of all three will be greatly enhanced in this unique setting with these special people.

Performing well over a hundred weddings over my years in ministry and I also enjoy nothing more than sharing in the biggest day of your life. There are typically 3 premarital counseling sessions before the ceremony. The earlier you reach out, the better the chance that I will be available.

Baby dedications are a wonderful way to bring families together to serve God to present a new life to him.
